Gladiator II Review

Ready to re-enter the Colosseum in ancient Rome? In 2000 Gladiator was released, the historical epic won five Academy awards including Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe. Twenty-four years later director Ridley Scott has given us a sequel - Gladiator II. Scott had a mammoth task at hand, how do you create a sequel to one of the greatest films of all time? Gladiator II is a four-star exhilarating historical epic. It fails to live up to its predecessor, but that doesn't not mean it is a bad film or even an unworthy sequel. I greatly enjoyed the cinematic experience that is Gladiator II, in all its historically epic style! Read on for my full review, there will be minor spoilers.  Set two decades after the events of Gladiator, you may expect to find a free Rome ruled by a senate that answers to the people, as was the dream of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. a Rome that Maximus fought and died to reform. However, Rome is now ruled by young and cruel twin Emperors Caracalla (Fred He

Frozen Dresses Ranked

Frozen is possibly the most popular animated franchise of all time and this week Frozen 2 is finally being released on Disney Plus. Which means you will be able to watch every Frozen film and short all in one place, which is super handy if you are planning on a Frozen marathon. To mark the occasion, I've decided to rank every outfit worn by Anna and Elsa throughout the two films and the two shorts. Now I say every outfit I may have missed off a couple because they are literally on screen for seconds, so I apologise if I have missed any. Scroll down to see which dress came in at first place! Leave me a comment below, telling me what outfit is your favourite.

18) Elsa's Blue Fur Dress (Olaf's Frozen Adventure)
This Dress is Worn by Elsa in the Christmas short: Olaf's Frozen Adventure and it's my least favourite by a long shot. I just think the fur trim is too much, the front hangs a little funny and Elsa mentions that she doesn't feel the cold, but this dress looks like it's made to keep her warm. Plus, the colour is way too dark. It is just not a great look for Elsa.

17) Anna's Green End Dress (Frozen)
We see this dress shortly at the end of Frozen. I like this dress, however its very plain and is my Least favourite Anna outfit. I guess Disney was going for a casual everyday dress, but it comes off as dull and unmemorable.

16) Anna's Troll Wedding Dress (Frozen)
Anna gets a little troll makeover in Frozen, although this is not technically a full outfit it is on screen for a few minutes. I love the jewels that are part of this look; but I can't say it's the best Disney wedding outfit we've seen. Plus, the Jewel dress we see Olaf wearing in Frozen 2 is much prettier.

15) Anna's Green Night Dress (Frozen/Frozen Fever/Frozen 2)

We see Anna in the same night dress in both Frozen 1 and 2 as well as in the short-Frozen Fever, she also has the same dress as a child. It's a cute dress but theres nothing great about it.

14) Anna's Blue winter Dress (Olaf's Frozen Adventure)
This dress is worn by Anna in Olaf's Frozen Adventure. It's a cute dress with a little Jacket and a reindeer patterned skirt. I love Anna's hair in the second image, and I like the outfit as a whole, but there is something missing and as it's a Christmas dress it would have looked better in a red or green.

13) Elsa's Night Dress (Frozen 2)
Elsa's night dress is a lot nicer than Anna's the colour is really pretty and it's so nice to see Elsa in a dress that isn't Blue. The dress is simple but has a lovely sparkly mesh which makes it look fab especially during 'Into the Unknown'.

12) Elsa's Coronation Dress (Frozen)
Elsa's coronation dress is what I image a traditional Arendelle style dress to look like. I love the cape and the pattern. However, this dress does not really suit Elsa, it lacks the freedom her other outfits have and it's not a fancy as Elsa's later looks.

11) Elsa's Purple Autumn Dress (Frozen 2)
I wish we could have seen more of this dress. This dress has the Arendelle pattern on the bottom and the classic Elsa off the shoulder style. This dress is a perfect look for the Queen of Arendelle, but I do think a crown would have made this look even better.

10) Anna's Travel Dress (Frozen)
There is a lot going on with Anna's main dress from Frozen 1. It has the Arendelle pattern on the skirt and on the bodice. It is practical in that it comes with a cape, hat, and gloves. I think it's a regal dress full of colour and fun (it has pom poms) that suits Anna's fun-loving personality.

9) Anna's Travel Outfit (Frozen 2)
Anna's Frozen 2 travel outfit is great, its more practical than the first because it has trousers which makes it easier for Anna to run. The darker tones also highlight Anna's maturity. The Detail on this outfit is also great from the stitching on the sleeves, to the leather belt and even the chain clasp on her cloak.

8) Elsa's White Dress (Frozen 2)
Elsa's final dress would have been higher on this list if it had more detail. It iss a fantastic transformation dress, that signifies Elsa embracing who she really is. The flowy nature of the dress with the little cape and weightless look of the fabric is beautiful and freeing but I feel like the colours on the bodice could have been a little brighter.

7) Elsa's Spring Dress (Frozen Fever)
Elsa's Springtime dress from Frozen Fever is so pretty! I love the way the pink compliments the green and blue tones. I also think this is the only time we see Elsa in short sleeves which is nice. I really wish we had seen Elsa in more colourful dresses like this one as it really suits her.

6) Anna's Cream Autumn Dress (Frozen 2)
I love Anna's Autumn dress, just look at how big the skirt is! It's an elegant look, befitting her royal status. The little jacket is cute and makes brings the whole look together. Plus, the Arendelle pattern is nicely incorporated in a more subtle way which I love.

5) Anna's Coronation Dress (Frozen)
The dress Anna wore to Elsa's coronation is a typical Disney princess dress, I love the way the dress moves, the largeness of the skirt and the colour. The bodice of the dress is simple yet effective, the pattern is unique without being over the top. Also, I love the way Anna wears it off the shoulder.

4) Anna's Spring Dress (Frozen Fever)
Anna's Springtime dress in Frozen Fever is just stunning. I love the bright colours and the sunflower detailing. This sunny dress suits Anna's bright personality and just look at the fullness of the skirt, it's a fabulous princess dress, full of detail. I mean look at the hair accessory, it's just so cute.

3) Elsa's Travel Dress (Frozen 2)
Elsa's travel dress from Frozen 2 is just beautiful. The coat has the Arendelle pattern on the bottom and on the belt, it also has two shoulder capes which are super effective. When Elsa takes the coat off, we see that the outfit is made up of leggings and a shimmery skirt that really suits Elsa and her personality. Plus, the shade of blue is subtle but suits Elsa more than the brighter shades.

2) Elsa's Ice Dress (Frozen)
Elsa's Ice dress is iconic. This dress not only signifies Elsa embracing her power it also looks fabulous. This dress was a huge risk for Disney, I mean it's off the shoulder and has a leg split. I love everything about this dress, from the meaning behind it to the style to the glittering cape. Everything is perfect and the dress 100% suits Elsa and who she is.

1) Anna's Coronation Dress (Frozen)
In first place we have Anna's coronation dress. I love love love this dress, its super elegant, brilliantly designed, and fabulous to look at. I love the hints of purple on the underside of the cape, the green suits Anna perfectly and the black adds a level of maturity. The crown is stunning and I'm so glad it's different to Elsa's crown. I love the different textures and fabrics they animated to create this look; I can imagine a real queen actually wearing this dress it looks that real.

So, there you have it all the dresses from Frozen ranked!! Every single one of these dresses have their merits and all of them were created by a team of incredibly talented people. I found this list so hard to create because I love so many of the dresses! If I was a child I'd have a wardrobe full of Frozen outfits. I think at some point soon I will have to rank my all-time favourite Disney outfits because I think that would be a very fun article to write.

Great read! They’re all gorgeous dresses to be honest but I think I might have picked number 8 personally because the top half is lovely and also it goes very well with Elsa’s hair down :)

Thank you for putting this together! I’m costume shopping ahead of my daughter’s 1st Disney On Ice show and it was helpful to have all of the dresses in one place so we can pick one! We love the green dress that Anna wore to coronation as well. :)
