Wuthering Heights Review

Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights" was always going to divide audiences, with many coming to conclusions prior to watching the film. Fennell takes inspiration from Emily Brontë's novel to create a new version of Wuthering Heights rather than an adaptation. Whilst the story differs, the sole focus upon Cathy and Heathcliff in the present rather than a recalled version of events, Fennell manages to create a compelling narrative. The film has sparks of perfection. Although "Wuthering Heights" is a sweeping tragedy it falls short of its potential which would have put it on course for a best picture nomination. Read on for my full review - minor spoilers ahead. The films opening sequence on the Yorkshire Moors is captivating, showcasing gothic qualities reminiscent of the book. The visual of the harsh landscape, the rocks that tower like a cage around Wuthering Heights, accompanied by Charlie XCX and John Cale's 'House' is dramatic and haunt...

Disney Takeover!

Happy June everyone! Sadly with Cinemas still shut I've been at a loss when it comes to writing posts, after all this is a film blog and there are currently no films or trailers to get hyped for. Some movies are being released on a rent-at-home basis, including Scoob! So please check that review out if you are looking for a movie review hit (CLICK HERE). But the releases are few and far between which is why I've decided to do something a little different. I will be dedicating the month of June to all things Disney - a sort of Disney takeover. Whilst I understand this will not directly appeal to all my readers, I wanted to share my love for all things Disney with you and I certainly hope there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The takeover will take place here on the blog and on my social media channels (The links are at the end of this post if you want to follow). I plan to post twice a week here on the blog, so there will be lots to read and even make. Posts will be centred around all things Disney from movie lists to recipes and even some Disneyland Paris themed tips. On my social media channels especially Instagram I will be posting my own Disney images daily as well as Disney movie facts/images to add a little magic to your days. I will also be making my very own story templates which will include watchlists like I have previously done, pick your favourite movies and who's your favourite live action character.
The purpose of this takeover is to have fun. I wanted to give you something that will get you watching Disney movies whilst also providing a form of escapism. As this is a Disney takeover I want to try and focus on Walt Disney Studio movies, but as you all know I love my Marvel and Star Wars (both of which are owned by Disney) so expect there to be some content focused on those franchises as well.

Please let me know if there is anything you'd love to see in this takeover, and I will do my best to incorporate it.
